Fruit: Humility

Lord, I ask You for the courage to follow Your Will no matter how challenging it may seem. Like Mary, I want to put my faith in Your divine plan because it ultimately leads me to Your heavenly kingdom.

Mother Mary, please guide those who are contemplating their life’s vocation.

Mother Mary, I pray for increased faith in God’s plan for me even when confronted with difficulties and disappointments.

Mother Mary, I pray for expecting mothers, especially those with unplanned pregnancies (like Yours) and those who are scared of their future.

Mother Mary, I pray for those who are scared about what God has planned for them; that they find the strength to believe in the goodness of His plans.

Mother Mary, I ask You to instill in me a sense of joy when I follow the path God sets before me.

Mother Mary, remind me that God never gives me a challenge I cannot handle (especially with Your intercession).

Lord, save me from the temptation of taking a seemingly easier path in life that doesn't bring me closer to God's grace.

Mother Mary, lovingly nudge those who have swayed from God's path back to His truth.

Mother Mary, guide parents everywhere to lead their children closer to God's grace through prayer, education, and as an example of living the faith.

Mother Mary, guide priests and nuns to faithfully live their often difficult vocations.

In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David, and the virgin’s name was Mary. (Luke 1:26-27)

“And He will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.” (Luke 1:31)

But Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I have no relations with a man?” (Luke 1:34)

And the angel said to Her in reply, “The Holy Spirit will come upon You, and the power of the Most High will overshadow You. Therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God.” (Luke 1:35)

Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to Your word.” (Luke 1:38)

Lord, You have given each of us unique and powerful talents. May we recognize our God-given abilities and go out into the world doing Your Will as Mary did when She visited Her cousin, Elizabeth.

Mother Mary, I pray for the motivation to go out and do God’s will as You did when You visited and helped Elizabeth.

Mother Mary, I pray that pregnant women who carry a precious life find the spiritual, physical, and emotional strength like You and Elizabeth.

Mother Mary, I pray for mercy and the conversion for those who seek to harm the most innocent among us.

Mother Mary, I pray for faith to follow God’s plan, wherever it leads me in life.

Mother Mary, I pray for the yearning to serve others rather than be served.

Mother Mary, I pray that I follow up with action what I learn from God through prayer.

Mother Mary, I pray for those who hear God’s call but are afraid to act on it; that they receive the motivation they need.

Mother Mary, I pray that I am a public advocate for life at all stages.

Mother Mary, I ask You to ease my fear of being a visible and public witness of the Catholic faith in this often hostile world.

Mother Mary, I pray that I show charity, not only financially, but also through exercising my talents.

During those days Mary set out and traveled to the hill country in haste to a town of Judah, where She entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. (Luke 1:39-40)

When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit, cried out in a loud voice and said, “Most blessed are You among women, and blessed is the fruit of Your womb.” (Luke 1:41-42)

FRUIT: POVERTY OF SPIRIT

Lord, You came into this world in a most unexpected way. May I always look for You in prayer and see You acting in my life even when it is in ways I do not expect.

Mother Mary, show me the humility that allows God to be born into my heart.

Mother Mary, I pray that I accept that God’s ways are not always my ways but that they do lead me to ultimate happiness.

Mother Mary, I pray that I follow the signs to Jesus like the wise men and the shepherds at His birth.

Mother Mary, I pray that I can rejoice in God who so loved me that He humbled himself and took human form in the person of Jesus.

Mother Mary, I pray that I see Jesus in everyone, even my enemies.

Mother Mary, I pray that like the shepherds in the fields, I make time to be with Jesus through prayer.

Mother Mary, I pray for forgiveness for the times I rejected God’s plan for me.

Mother Mary, I pray for forgiveness for the times I have not seen Jesus in my brothers and sisters.

Mother Mary, I pray that I am open to God’s message even when it comes in unexpected ways.

Mother Mary, I pray that I make an effort to attend adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

And Joseph too went up from Galilee from the town of Nazareth to Judea, to the city of David that is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David, to be enrolled with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child. (Luke 2:4-5)

While they were there, the time came for Her to have Her child, and She gave birth to Her firstborn son. She wrapped Him in swaddling clothes and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. (Luke 2:5-7)

Now there were shepherds in that region living in the fields and keeping the night watch over their flock. The angel of the Lord appeared to them and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were struck with great fear. (Luke 2:8-9)

The angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.” (Luke 2:10)

“For today in the city of David a savior has been born for you who is Messiah and Lord.” (Luke 2:11)

So they went in haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the infant lying in the manger. (Luke 2:16)

When they saw this, they made known the message that had been told them about this child. (Luke 2:17)

All who heard it were amazed by what had been told them by the shepherds. (Luke 2:18)

And Mary kept all these things, reflecting on them in Her heart. (Luke 2:19)

Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, just as it had been told to them. (Luke 2:20)
